OUR VISION
Being a church modeled like the Church of Acts
A body that walks out their faith in our world today...
The Book of Acts can provide valuable insights and inspiration for the Modern Church and Life today.
Here are a few ways to make that connection:
- Community and Fellowship: The early Christians in Acts formed a close-knit family of believers. Today, this can inspire us to build strong, supportive body where we care for each other’s needs and work together to touch those in our community.
- Faith and Perseverance: The apostles faced numerous challenges and persecutions but remained steadfast in their faith. This teaches us the importance of perseverance and maintaining our beliefs even in the face of adversity. There is strength in standing together in the midst of hardship.
- Spreading Good News: Just as the apostles spread the gospel, we can share powerful messages and values found in the Word and our own lives. This could be through sharing our personal testimony of what God has done in our lives, acts of love kindness, volunteering to be a positive influence in our community.
- Embracing Diversity: The Book of Acts highlights the spread of Christianity to diverse groups of people. In today’s world, this encourages us to embrace diversity and inclusivity, recognizing the value of being a multi-cultural and multi-generational.
- Empowerment by the Holy Spirit: The apostles were empowered by the Holy Spirit to speak in other tongues, perform miracles and courage to spread the gospel. This reminds us that we can seek God’s guidance and strength to overcome challenges to make a powerful, positive impact in our world today.
- Leadership and Service: Great men and women like Peter, Paul and Mary demonstrated strong leadership and a commitment to serving others. We can apply these principles by leading with integrity and serving our communities selflessly.
By reflecting on these things, we can find ways to apply the lessons from the Book of Acts to our daily lives, fostering purpose, community, and resilience.
