Our desire is to help people find and follow Jesus!

Cornerstone Christian Fellowship aims to make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals, the community, and globally. The goal is to build relationships, engage in personal interaction, fellowship, and mentor people to become committed followers of Christ. This is the primary focus of all activities carried out by the Church.

The Gospel emphasizes ministering to people’s needs rather than focusing on a building. Regardless of where individuals are in their faith journey, they will find others at various stages within the congregation, and they support each other.

We’re a Church that is fostering a growing community of believers. There is an effort to share the message that Jesus provides solutions to life’s challenges. There is hope, healing, and fulfillment through walking with God.

There are two parking areas one is a small area that hold about 15 cars it has handicapped spaces and the ramp to come in the side entrance, there is a fence in parking lot and parking should be available in that parking lot, there are about 50 spaces on that side of the church.

Simply be yourself; I often advise people to dress as they would when visiting family, and if you like to dress up we have people who enjoy coming to church that way. We want people to come worship the Lord

We understand that not everyone can join a Sunday morning service, so we offer a service that meets the needs of you and your family. Whether you have a busy schedule or want extra evenings for fellowship with the Lord and other believers, our welcoming environment invites everyone, no matter their background.

If you prefer smaller gatherings or Saturday evening services, our church provides a relaxed, come-as-you-are setting. We gather in a laid-back atmosphere, ready for genuine worship and an engaging sermon.

To plan your visit, just click the black box at the top of the page in the main menu, fill out the necessary fields, and we will reserve special seating for you. This ensures a friendly experience, as you will be greeted by someone who will introduce you to our team and guide you through our church.

We’re an Evangelical body of believers near the downtown area of Reno. From the birth of Cornerstone it has always and always be based upon the Word of God and giving God the Glory!

THIS IS A LITTLE BIG TRIAL VERSION

How do I come to Know Jesus as my personal Savior?

Step 1 – God’s Purpose: Peace and Life

God loves you and wants you to experience peace and eternal life—abundant and eternal.

The Bible says:

“We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Romans 5:1

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16

“I [Jesus] came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”
John 10:10

Why don’t most people have this peace and abundant life that God planned for us to have?

Step 2 – The Problem: Sin Separates Us

God created us in His own image to have an abundant life. He did not make us as robots to automatically love and obey Him. God gave us a will and freedom of choice. We choose to disobey God and go our own willful way. We still make this choice today. This results in separation from God.

The Bible says:

“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23

“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

Our choice results in separation from God. People have tried in many ways to bridge this gap between themselves and God…

The Bible says:

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.”
Proverbs 14:12

“But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.”
Isaiah 59:2

No bridge reaches God… except one.

Step 3 – God’s Remedy: The Cross

Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.

The Bible says:

“For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
1 Timothy 2:5

“For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God.”
1 Peter 3:18

“But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Romans 5:8

God has provided the only way… Each person must make a choice…

Step 4 – Our Response: Receive Christ

We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.

The Bible says:

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.”
Revelation 3:20

“But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.”
John 1:12

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Romans 10:9

Will you receive Jesus Christ right now?

Here is how you can receive Christ:

  • Admit your need. (I am a sinner.)
  • Be willing to turn from your sins (repent) and ask for God’s forgiveness.
  • Believe that Jesus Christ died for you on the cross and rose from the grave.
  • Through prayer, invite Jesus Christ to come in and control your life through the Holy Spirit. (Receive Jesus as Lord and Savior)

We suggest a prayer like this one:

“Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I want to turn from my sins, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I believe He died for my sins and that You raised Him to life. I want Him to come into my heart and to take control of my life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. In Jesus’ Name, amen.”

Did you pray to receive Jesus Christ and begin a relationship with him?

If you accepted the Jesus as your Savior we would love to hear from you, and we would like to send you our Next Steps Material and Who is the comforter Jesus talked about in the New Testament.

Welcome to the family of God!
